Norfolk Team Missions Overnight Recap

We had a great first meeting at the Missions Overnight.  We had a wonderful evening on Friday of teaching, worship music, and small group discussions.  This year we are studying Peter's encounter with God in Acts 10-11 as our model for how we might encounter God down in Norfolk this summer.  Luke introduced our theme of "Get Out of the Way" as we looked at how God challenged Peter to remove hesitations from his life in order for God to work in and through him.  Luke then translated that into how on the Norfolk trip there are going to be things that push out of our comfort zone and may cause us to hesitate, but we need to be willing to get the hesitations out of the way and step into what God wants us to do.  We woke up on Saturday morning and had a great morning of team-building games and competitions.  It was beautiful to watch your kids grow and work together as a team to complete fun tasks.

If you happened to miss the meeting or are missing anything we handed out.  Below are links to the forms handed out and the small group questions discussed after Luke's talk.

Here is the Checklist of items from the first meeting that each kid needs to make sure they have turned in before the trip.
Checklist #1

Here is the WCC parental consent form that needs to be filled out and notarized before the trip.  If your son or daughter came on our ski trip this past February then we already have one on file for you.

Our next team meeting is on Tuesday, June 11th from 6:30-8:30pm in the Main Foyer.  The first hour is for parents and students and then the final hour is just for students.  We will have coffee available in our cafe area for any parents that want to just stick around to wait during the final hour.

Please feel free to call or email Luke at 941-1572 or lkincaid@wcchapel.org with any furth questions.
