The pattern continued with our new normal morning routine of early wake-up, breakfast, and worship! It was great to see the team continue to dive into opportunities to worship, even early in the morning! After worship, we heard from Dave (the ReCreation Director) talking about the story of Jesus washing the disciples' feet and how this act of humility and service was shown to all of the disciples, even Judas. He challenged us to lean into forgiveness through humility and seek opportunities through the day to serve each other. With that charge on our hearts, the team headed out to our work site for our third day on the job. The team worked tirelessly to get to a great stopping point going into our final day tomorrow. We finished the roofing project and with those hands freed up tomorrow, should finish the septic trenches and get the new coat of paint on the house. After leaving the work site, we headed back to ReCreation to shower and have dinner. We have been grateful for the ReCreation Staff for not only working with us all day on the job site, but they have been serving us breakfasts and dinners here at the housing site. We had some free time after dinner and then gathered for our second to last porch time of the trip. We had a great time during an extended rendition of "Remember That Time" and "I Saw Jesus," as well as an awesome time of worship! After worship, Nick spoke from John 11 and used Mary and Martha as the two examples of the paths that we can take as we start to think about heading back home to Williamsburg. We can be hesitant and doubt what we've seen or we can rise swiftly and seek out Jesus, falling humbly before Him. Porch Time gave way to small groups, where we split up and discussed these ideas further! Once small groups had subsided, we wrapped up the night and headed to bed to prepare for our final full day here in Weaverville. It is bittersweet to acknowledge that our time here in Weaverville is drawing to a close, but we are excited to take on our last day head on. Thank you to everyone who came to the parent prayer meeting! Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated!
