Our second Norfolk meeting was split into two parts. The first half was for parents and students in which Luke went over the key details for the Norfolk mission trip. If you missed the meeting or would just like to look back through the slides that Luke reviewed then click the link below.

During the second half of the meeting all of the kids gathered for Luke's second talk on Elijah from 1 Kings 19:9-13. They read about Elijah's encounter with God on Mount Horeb. On the mountain there was an earthquake, a great wind, and fire which were all previous ways that God had appeared for Elijah or the Israelites. However, during this encounter God was not in those things, but rather God showed up in a gentle whisper. Luke talked about how it is important to remember past places that God has shown up as inspiration for the present, but also to look for places that God might show up that are unexpected. Then the group split up into small groups to discuss how Elijah's encounter can help us prepare for our trip. To look through the small group questions you can click on the link below.
