During the teaching portion of our meeting the team continued their study of the character of Elijah found in 1 Kings 19. Hawley talked about how Elijah's encounter with God involved reminders of past places that God had shown up in Elijah's life as well as a new and unexpected way that God showed in the "gentle whisper" for Elijah. As we head down to Nicaragua, we hope to apply our learning from Elijah and allow our encounter with God to rejuvenate and guide us as we serve.
