Thank you for everyone that came to the Overnight! This served as our team's second meeting and we continued our character study of Moses from Exodus 3:1-10.  Here are the small group questions that the team answered after Luke's talk:

Norfolk Missions Team - Info From Missions Overnight

Thank you for everyone that came to the Overnight! The Norfolk team finally began the journey to our trip, as this was the first time we have met as a team.  One of the most important things that we go over at our team meetings is the character study that we do.

Each summer, all of the Missions Teams study a character from the Bible and this year we are looking at Moses.  We looked at how God gave Moses a "holy discontent" to free the Israelites from the oppression of the Egyptians.  We talked about how, as Christians, we should see things in the world through God's eyes and see things that make God discontent.  When we see these things then we should be driven to help change them.  The portion of Moses's story that we looked at came from Exodus 3:7-10 and Exodus 2:11-12.  Below are the small group questions that the team talked through after Nick gave his talk.

Saturday morning everyone participated in an "Amazing Race" style game that was run by our Summer Interns.  The purpose of this game is to create unity among the small group teams and grow the bond among the team members that maybe didn't know each other prior to the overnight.

Our next meeting is Tuesday June 9th from 6:30-8:30 in Woodward Hall.  The first half of the meeting will be a parents' meeting and the second half of the meeting will be for the students. At that time we will have our second pre-trip teaching on Moses.  If you have not yet filled out the Parental Consent form, you can bring it to the the meeting on the 9th.

NC Mission Trip Meeting #1 - Including Parent Meeting on 5.13.15

Thanks everyone for coming out to our first North Carolina Meeting!  It was a great reminder of the great things God is doing here in Williamsburg and the things we have to look forward to this summer.  Below are all of the documents and information we handed out and gave to you at the meeting.  If you have any questions about any of the information or about the trip in general then please email Luke Kincaid at lkincaid@wcchapel.org.

During the first hour of the meeting we had our parent meeting in which we went over all of the details of the trip.  Every child needs to have a Chapel Parental Consent form on file and all of the ReCreation Forms filled out.  The information we went over and the forms are below.

Our next team meeting is our Mission's Overnight on May 29-30th at the Chapel in the SM Worship Room.  It begins at 6:30pm on Friday and ends at 11:30am on Saturday morning.  Students should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, athletic clothes for Saturday, and athletic shoes for Saturday.  Please eat dinner beforehand.

Nicaragua Team Training Mtg - 5.12.15

We had a great training meeting tonight as a team. Below you will find links to the checklist that was handed out tonight, as well as the small group discussion questions based off of our first teaching on Moses's encounter with God.

Two important reminders: First, support letters should already have been sent. If you have NOT sent out your letters yet, please make sure to do that by Monday, 5/18!
