The first part of our Nicaragua mission team (All senior boys, Beka, Paige and Sarah Graham's senior girls small group), arrived safely and on time this morning around 9:45am Nicaraguan time (we are two hours behind EST).
Despite their long night of travel, the team was eager to get going. After enjoying some down time they began their trip by taking a group of kids who live near the local garbage dump to a swimming pool. The seniors will be working with this group throughout our time here so it is a great opportunity for them to start building relationships with the kids so early on in the trip.
These seniors will spend the rest of their afternoon resting to regain energy for the remainder of the trip.
Our other two travel groups are still in route to Nicaragua. We will send a text message to all parents when they land safely and will update the blog shortly thereafter.
